Project is loosely based on the 1955 British black comedy starring Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers that centers on four accomplices in a robbery who try to kill their indestructible elderly landlady.  The new adaptation is set in the South and revolves around an eccentric matron who unwittingly rents out rooms in her house to a gang of professional thieves.  They plan to use the innocent address as a hideout while they plot a big-ticket heist.  But they ultimately discover they’re no match for the shrewd woman.  

Lawless Heart (TBA): Selected. Hopscotch. UK. 100 mins.  Tom Hollander, Bill Nighy, Ellie Haddington, Sukie Smith. D: Tom Hunsinger and Neil Hunter. This second feature from writer/director team Hunsinger and Hunter is a modern love story, where lust, loyalty and courage are put to the test. Set in an English seaside town it follows three characters: Dan (Bill Nighy), Nick (Tom Hollander) and Tim (Douglas Henshall), who feel forced to look at life differently following the death of their mutual friend Stuart, and find themselves daring to take new paths in life and love.

Lil' Pimp (TBA): National.  Columbia. Animated comedy. 80 mins. V: Mark Brooks, Peter Gilstrap, Carmen Electra, Bernie Mac, William Shatner, Jennifer Tilly. D: Mark Brooks, Peter Gilstrap (debuts).  The daringly original and irreverent "Lil' Pimp" is the first feature film to be shot in the revolutionary flash-animation process. Poor Lil' Pimp (Brooks).  His only friend is a foul-mouthed talking gerbil, Weathers (Ludacris). Then one day, by accident, he runs into a dazzling 'ho, Sweet Chiffon (Lil' Kim), who takes him to a bar called Playground, a hip-hop wonderland where he befriends master pimp Fruit Juice (Mac) and is introduced to the world of pimping.
